Surfside/Charleston 2014

This year we took an early beach trip just Chris, Noah and I in late April. I knew this summer I would be 9 months pregnant and running around on the beach in 100 degree weather just did not sound that appealing. Chris choose Surfside for our family which is not far from Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.
Face when we pulled in after a long drive

We had a great time!! Noah LOVED the beach and pool. It was the first time he could really play in them. He met some friends on the beach and they shared toys. He loved his tide pool and stomping on daddys sand castles. He was not too sure about being in the ocean at first(it was very cold) but then we had to try to get him not to go too far. He loved the walks on the beach and the sunshine.

Who knew Noah was a born golfer? haha ok maybe not but he was fantastic at putt-putt. He did so well and was so patient. He would watch how we did it and imitate it. Every hole he put his ball near the hole and hit it in and got so excited. We also noticed during this outing that he really likes climbing as well:

And whats a beach trip without ice cream?!!

SkyWheel and Dinner

Charleston. If you ever go eat at Hominy grill . It was the best southern food I have had. Noah ate his whole vegetable plate plus mommy and daddys. It was a rainy day! We were done looking at the big ship at Patriots Point but Chris insisted we see the submarine further away. Then it unloaded and lightning. So I ran in front of chris and noah by like 3 minutes to the main entrance which probably was at least 1/2 a mile over bridge and water. (I'm running 7 months pregnant) Chris and noah zoom past me and I meet them there like 5 min later haha wet as a dog. But Chris said he loved the submarine. :) We enjoyed the rest of the day eating, looking at houses and walking around(shopping).

Chris's parents came the last weekend and we got some good time with them. We also got a date night which was great!

He loved feeding the ducks and turtles outside where we stayed

Next year we will be at the beach with 2 little boys! :)
