22 Week Ultrasound/Update

On Monday, Chris and I went back to the specialist. 3 Weeks ago we got the news that our baby boy has a cleft lip and possible palate (on his left side NOT right. I made that mistake on my last entry). We were very nervous going back, afraid that we would hear more bad news since clefts are sometimes accompanied by other birth defects. Good news so far! The specialist could not see anything else of major concern. She looked at all the markers for children who have trisomy 13,18, 21 etc. From what she could tell by looking on ultrasound, his whole body, all organs and my placenta look good. In addition, the blood test that tests for trisomy 18, 21 and neurological defects came back negative.
We will be going on the 24th for a fetal heart echo to get a closer look at his heart. PLEASE PRAY that his heart is good!! I know I will feel soo much better once I know that it looks good. I am also going on the 23rd with my sister to see another specialist just to get another set of eyes/opinions on him. Not that I don't like/trust the specialist I see now, I just want to make sure for my baby and for me. It might sound crazy but I just want to know that I will have the opportunity to have a baby and keep him. This whole pregnacy has come with the fear of knowing life is not certain. With the trouble getting pregant and miscarriage scares it has hightened my fears but at the same time reminded me how truly lucky I am. It really is the most amazing thing to feel life inside you. How could you not believe in God with that great example?!
I end this entry feeling soo thankful for my baby and for the good news thus far. I just ask for you to pray that his heart is good and that he continues to grow to be a healthy baby boy. I want to thank those that have already been praying for us 3. I have no dought that it is a major reason of why things have been going good so far. Thank you for praying for that peace and to God for granting it.
Here are a few shots from the 22 week ultrasound.

You can see his cleft lip here. It is on his left side. Your right. (You have to turn your head to the right to see his face):
